Tips
- You can use the search bar to find a specific plugin format (e.g. AU, AAX) or plugin company (e.g. Wide Blue Sound). The search goes deeper than what you see in the plugin names.
- Double-clicking a package in the list is a shortcut for selecting it and clicking the 'View Package' button.
- When Viewing a Package, right-click a file to Reveal in Finder.
- Select multiple packages by holding CMD while selecting.
- Audio Plugin Uninstaller maintains a log-file to remember which packages have been removed as well as a log-file per uninstallation (stored for 30 days). You can access the log-files from the help menu.

💡 To delete an entire plugin format
- Do a search for the unwanted plugin format. For best results, use the exact file extension (e.g. .aaxplugin, .component).
- Hold CMD and click the items that only include the unwanted plugin format (skip lines with multiple plugin formats). Be very careful. This will be a clean uninstall.
- In Finder, go to the plugin folder and delete the contents. This is obviously a dirty uninstall. Some plugins may have a proprietary uninstaller, but even those may not clean up the extra files. Here are the common plugin folders (⌘⇧G in Finder)
- AAX:
/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-ins/
- AU:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
- VST:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
- VST3:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
- CLAP
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP/
- Note about Audio Units: these are the trickiest beacuse many of them are just wrapped VSTs, and literally contain a .vst file inside the .component file that show up in the search results.
